Gathering is a 26 stall farm that specializes in Three-Day eventing as well as being a private lesson and training program for the focused and
committed rider. We strive to provide riders with the tools they need to succeed in the sport of Three-day Eventing as well as in their everyday
riding goals. We have a strong young rider and adult competition program. Also specializing in helping the difficult horse to improve in its job
as well as training young horses to be successful in the job that they choose. Based in Aiken SC for the winter months of mid-January to mid-April.
We provide structure and a positive environment to grow and be successful in.

Facilities: Stephie is based at Course Brook Farm in Sherborn, MA, a 60-acre event/dressage training/boarding facility. Amenities include a full cross-country course through Training level with some Preliminary questions, a large outdoor sand jump arena, both small and standard sized dressage arenas on sand and an indoor arena. Experience: Stephie Baer has been teaching riding, training horses and competing in three day events and combined training events for over 35 years. She has trained numerous green horses, including several from green to 3 and 4 star levels. She is based out of Course Brook Farm in Sherborn, MA but is also available for lessons, training rides, cross country schooling and clinics off-site. Stephie is also available for coaching at events in Area 1 as well as other events in Areas 2 and 3.
Major Achievements: Stephie has competed through the advanced level, including 4 star events at Burghley CIC**** (England) and Rolex Kentucky CCI****. She also has competed at North Georgia CIC***, Thirelston Castle CIC*** (Scotland), Fair Hill CCI***, Essex CCI**, Radnor CCI**, Bromont CCI** (Canada) and Quetero CCI** (Mexico). She has won Advanced divisions at Fair Hill, Morven Park and Southern Pines. She was short listed for the 1998 World Championships and trained with the American Team in England. She has also participated in several USET training sessions.
Trained with: Along with being a working student and employee of Bruce Davidson for over four years, Stephie has also has trained with Capt. Mark Phillips, Jack LeGoff, Rick Sullivan, Lauren Stevens, Kathy Connolly, Sandy Osborne and Arlene Full. She has attended clinics with Lucinda Green, Joey Darby, Ann Kursinsky, Jane Savoy, Sandy Pflueger, Eric Horgan and Jimmy Wofford.

Massachusetts, 45 minutes south of Boston and 15 minutes east of Providence. Our
facilities include a 144'x70' indoor arena, a 100'x200' outdoor sand ring and a
cross-country schooling area, all located on our 100-acre farm.
From the introductory level to preparing for your first CCI*, Flatlands offers event
training for both the horse and the rider. Ship your horse in for weekly lessons or join
us for an intensive training week. We offer boarding as a service to our students.

Facilities: Two locations - Birch Hill Farm, located in the Berkshire Mountains of Western
Massachusetts, is a complete training facility specializing in the development of young
Thoroughbreds into Event horses. Situated on 400 acres, the facility includes a 15 stall barn,
complete with amenities. Winter Book Farm is located in Southern Pines, North Carolina. 14 stalls,
separate guest wing with its own wash stall, feed and tack rooms. The facility includes a regulation
size dressage arena, show jumping field, turf track and a complete cross country schooling course
suitable for the training of horses at all levels. Winter Book is adjacent to the more than four
thousand acre Walthour-Moss Foundation which has many miles of hacking and conditioning roads and

and won the USET Fall 3-Day Championships at Fair Hill in 1994 and again in 1998. Mark has
represented the U.S. in the Open European Championships in England as a member the USET/USEF Team
and was short-listed for the U.S. Olympic Team for Atlanta in 1996. He is a licensed USEF Dressage
and Eventing judge; he has had his “r” Dressage rating for 25 years and his “r” CT (eventing) for
approximately 10 years. Mark has also been appointed a USEF Eventing Selector, a position he has
held for about 6 years. In the course of his career, Mark has had the privilege of training under
the likes of Jack LeGoff and Capt. Mark Phillips thanks to his involvement with the USET and USEF
